CG.Job.Server

This project is a Windows service that runs in the background and manages the scheduling and execution of jobs. The project runs together with the CG.Job, CG.Task and CG.Storage libraries. In order for this service to run your jobs, your assembly must be locatable to the service at runtime. I suggest you put your assembly into the GAC. Also, the project is currently configured to store jobs in a SQL-Server database. The .sql to create that database is part of the CG.Storage library. You must create and configure that database before this service will run. (I am working on a setup .msi for installing this project) This project is a very simple example of how to use the CG.Job, CG.Storage and CG.Task libraries. I am actually in the process of converting an older library to use my newer classes and constructs, so the code will definately grow and change as I port my code. Have fun!

CG.Job

A very simple library that allows developers to create custom "job" classes and schedule those jobs to run automatically. I created this library as an example of how to use the CG.Storage and CG.Task libraries. I am actually in the process of converting an older library to use my newer classes and constructs, so the code will definately grow and change as I port my code.

This library can be used "stand-alone" in your project, or it can be used through my CG.Job.Server project. That project is actually a Windows service that runs in the background and manages the scheduling and execution of jobs.

This library contains a fully functional event broker. It can be used to loosly couple software in almost any environment, including ASP.NET, Windows, WPF, WCF, etc.

This library contains the TaskDirector component and all it's support classes. TaskDirector is a BackgroundWorker like component that is capable of directing multiple background operations simultaneously.

This lbrary adapts the CG.Manager library for use with the Microsoft's Enterprise Library. If you want to use Enterprise Library with a manager then you'll need this library.

This library contains the classes that implement the Manager pattern used in other CODEGATOR libraries. If you are using a manager from a CODEGATOR library then chances are you'll need this library as well.

A "no-frills" content management library that provides for basic storage and retrieval of files. This library builds on the CG.Storage library, while adding the ability to associate meta-data and thumbnails with files, and also perform searches using keywords. This library is also capable of managing multiple versions of files.

The library comes with a SQL-Server specific storage provider. You can easily build your own provider if your storage needs are different.

A "no frills" storage library. The library contains a manager that stores objects, streams, files or byte arrays into one of two places: either a SQL-Server database or to a file on the hard drive. You give the library something to store and it gives you back a GUID that you can use later to retrieve your priceless little treasure. LOL!

If you need to store "stuff" someplace other than a file or a database then it's pretty simple to extend my base storage provider and implement a different storage mechanism.

This library is a good "drop-in" solution for projects that need to store things (BLOBS) and later retrieve them - without being tied to any one particular storage method.

This library contains common foundational code that most other CODEGATOR libraries are built on. If you are using another CODEGATOR library then chances are you'll need this library as well.
